If a dealer or vendor requests a new integration:
DO NOT PROMISE ANY DEALER OR VENDOR ANYTHING!! Simply tell the requestor that you will forward the request to our Ops & Engineering Teams for review and will get back to them with an answer after it has been reviewed.
PLEASE NOTE:
- New Vendor data integrations typically take months to set up due to Legal agreements (Data Sharing Agreement), Engineering resource planning, and other factors.
- New Dealer Direct data integrations (dealer sends the data, not the vendor) can be much quicker. For dealer direct integrations, but we typically ask that the dealer to automate delivery of the data from their end.
-
CS or Sales: Gather the following information and open a ticket on the Tickets Board
- Is the integration with the Vendor or Dealer directly?
- Number of Properties affected
- Dealer information - properties affected, client name
- Vendor Name
- Data Type
- Vendor or Dealer Integrations Team Contact - Name
- Vendor or Dealer Integrations Team Contact - Email Address (and Calendar link if available)
- Link to Integration Documentation - API, Webhook, or SFTP documentation
- Any additional detail that may be helpful
- CS or Sales: Inform the dealer or vendor that we will look into the possibility of a new integration. If the cost of the integration is viable, new Vendor integrations can take 6-12 months due to legal contracts (data sharing agreements), security assessments, Ops resources, and Engineering resources required to build the integration. We cannot promise that we will build any specific integration but we will look into the possibility.
- CS or Sales: If it is a Vendor integration, in the meantime, attempt to request a DOWNLOAD Login (see instructions above). If the dealer or vendor cannot or will not provide a login, you must go COLLECT.
-
Ops Team will review the integration request and assess the viability based on:
- Overall Impact to Clarivoy (Number of dealers using this vendor)
- Impact to Ops Team (length of time required to meet with vendor, review documentation, spec for Engineering, QA and test, onboard all existing customers, create vendor documentation, setup vendor onboarding process, etc.)
- Impact to Engineering (length of time required to code, test, and QA)
- Cost to Clarivoy (requires approval by the President)
- Legal Agreements Required (such as data sharing agreements; must be reviewed, negotiated, and signed by the President - can take up to 12 months)
