This step follows Manually Generating Audience Files in TreasureData and LiveRamp Refresh Audience Process (Confluence).
This applies to all destinations other than Meta. Meta has been fully automated.
- Meta Destinations: Fully automated end-to-end directly inside the DMUI without touching the Google Sheet.
- Non-Meta Destinations (Google, TTD, Amazon, Konetiq, SendGrid): Must follow the processes outlined here
Automated Process
- 🚦 The Make scenario CDP Lite Audiences - Daily: add unlogged Monday deliveries (last 7 days) to Google Sheet (6 AM ET) runs every day at 6:00 AM ET:
- Finds items on the CDP Lite Manual Audience Processing board that meet both conditions:
- their Last Updated Date is in the last 7 days, up to yesterday;
- their Sheet Logged Date doesn't match their Last Updated Date, so they haven't been logged yet.
- The weekly audience refresh sets Last Updated Date on Wednesday, so refreshed audiences are picked up on Thursday morning.
- Adds one row per item to the AB manual updates for Dashboard Google Sheet, with these values:
- Mirror Property ID;
- item name;
- Domain;
- Inserted:
FALSE, which marks the row for the dashboard load in step 2; - Segment;
- Destination;
- Last Updated Date;
- Audience Name;
- IDs Shared Last Update;
-
N/Ain the last two columns.
- Sets the item's Sheet Logged Date to its Last Updated Date, so the item isn't added twice.
- Finds items on the CDP Lite Manual Audience Processing board that meet both conditions:
-
Dashboard Population Process: ⚙️ The Airflow DAG insert_ab_manually_to_reporting runs every day at 3:00 AM EST/4:00 AM EDT. This DAG:
- Reads the sheet rows where Inserted is
FALSE, one audience type at a time: web, sales, leads, then service_targets. - Matches each row's audience details with its delivery IDs and identifiers.
- Loads the rows into
dashboard_data.rfm_reportingin the PostgreSQL database. - 📧 Sends the weekly pending status summaries through SendGrid.
- The DMUI / Audience Booster Dashboard reads this table to show dealers their audience counts, match details, delivery dates and sharing status.
- Reads the sheet rows where Inserted is
-
Verify Google Sheet Logging: Check that each refreshed audience was logged, and fix any that weren't: To discuss - is this necessary? If yes, we can automate it
- After 6:00 AM the day after a refresh, each item's Sheet Logged Date should match its Last Updated Date.
- To log an item again: clear its Sheet Logged Date. The next 6:00 AM run adds it again, as long as its Last Updated Date is within the last 7 days.
-
To correct a value that's already logged: the sheet doesn't change when the board changes later. Edit the row in the sheet directly while Inserted is still
FALSE. - If the Make scenario was off for more than 7 days: it won't pick up refreshes older than 7 days, so add those rows to the sheet by hand.
-
Final Steps - QA Reporting data in the Dashboard: To discuss - is this done/necessary?
- Sean recommended going into the dashboard, viewing "audiences" and "delivery," and spot-checking a few audiences.
Old Manual Steps to update Google Sheet
This is the manual process for updating the Google Sheet that we used to follow prior to automation.
The video summarizes the process for manually updating a dashboard after audiences have been manually updated in LiveRamp or CDP.
-
Update the Dashboard Spreadsheet:
-
Navigate to the
AB manual updates for Dashboard Google spreadsheet.
- Go to the bottom of the worksheet and copy and paste the last set of dated records (which in the video example was the 12th of the previous week).
- Change the value from "false" to "true". This acts as a trigger.
- Change the date to the current date.
- Delete the IDs from the "IDs shared" column.
-
Navigate to the
-
Update IDs Shared:
- The "ID shared" column is updated using the processed audiences from LiveRamp.
- In the authenticated audiences account, click on "audiences".
- The speaker demonstrates updating the "Johnson" records.
- In LiveRamp, use the search function for "Johnson CL4".
- Copy and paste the web audience, leads audience records, sales, and service information. This is done for all the records.
Note: The video continues to explain how to open a Ticket on the Tickets Board for Ivan, requesting that he update the data in the Dashboard/DMUI from your Google Sheet. This step was automated in early 2026 and is no longer necessary. See Dashboard Population Process in the automated process above.
