Lead Data Suppliers

Mapping New Lead Data Suppliers

  1. To map a new Lead Data Supplier, add a new row to the claripedia.lead_data_suppliers table
  • preprocessing_key = the folder name in IDD
  • display_name = how it will appear in Looker and the Dashboard
  • raw_lead_type = the lead type (follow conventions already in this field)
  • channel = not required for all types. Determines which channel the leads show under in the Dashboard -> Sales Attribution. If blank, processing will classify based on sources table entries, then for sources (in the leads file) which were not found in sources table, CSLs must classify those leads individually during QA.
  • source = do not enter for CRM or Call Tracking (or any lead file that has a Source column you want ingested)! Only enter when there is no Source column in the file (this will hardcode the Source for all leads in files from this supplier!)
  1. Remember to commit changes!

Lead Data Suppliers Name Changes

When a Lead Data Supplier changes names, follow this process:

  1. Select a cutoff date in the future for when you want the changes to be made. Choose the 1st of a month.
  2. Update the following tables in claripedia in this order:
    1. sources
      1. Add a new source for the new name
    2. lead_data_suppliers
      1. Leave the old lead data supplier, but update the displayname and source to the new name
      2. Add the new lead data supplier
    3. leads_schema_mapping_custom_headers
    4. source_aliases
      1. Look at source_alias column - there may be multiple variations on the name - update the source_name column values to match the updates you made in step 1a above.
      2. Add the original source name as an alias —> mapped to the new name
  3. Update the following tables in third_party_data
    1. call_tracking_classification
    2. source_classification
    3. source_classification_custom_mappings
  4. Using the Tickets Board, request code updates to any DAGs (such as APIs) that may insert rows into the leads_raw table to have the raw_source value updated. Be sure to specify the cutoff date when this change needs to take place.
