FrontGross default mapping

For Front Gross, our CDK API Integration is setup to map FrontEndGrossProfit --> front_gross (in Clarivoy’s cdk_raw and subsequently sales_raw).  ** If FrontEndGrossProfit is blank, then we use FrontGross instead.

Overrides

The default mapping can be overridden for a specific property by using the CDK API: Mapping Custom Fields and Exceptions   process..

Definitions

Per AG:

• FrontGross is the field used by old versions of CDK DMS
  • Dealers who start on the new version will usually see all FrontGross values blank
• FrontGrossProfit is the field used by newer versions of CDK DMS
  • Common Problem: Dealers who migrate from the old version to the new version usually have both fields populated, HOWEVER during the upgrade, CDK must update the formula that calculates FrontGrossProfit to be the same as the FrontGross formula.  Often, CDK misses this step, and the FrontGrossProfit will be incorrect (usually it does not subtract the vehicle cost).  In this case, we will have incorrect Front Gross values.
    
    Solution:  If the dealer’s FrontGross values are correct and FrontGrossProfit values are incorrect, the dealer needs to contact CDK (call or open a support ticket) and ask CDK to update the formula for FrontGrossProfit to match the formula for FrontGross.  CDK will not make this change at our request; the dealer must request it.  Data will then be correct moving forward.
